William Frank Craig, Sr.

William Frank Craig Sr., 91, of Bobtown, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, in his home, with his family at his side following a lengthy illness. Born October 17, 1931, in Shinnston, W.Va., he was a son of the late William L. and Vicia Coen Craig.

He honorably served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force during both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.

After retiring from the military, William worked at a number of jobs around the country, including working for Palm Beach County in Florida.

He was proud to be a member of the Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, having joined the Army-Navy Blue Lodge in Virginia, and the Shrine in Florida. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are two sons and their wives, Frank (Marlene) Craig, Jr. and Jeff (Doris) Craig, all of Bobtown; three grandsons, Jason (Kate) Craig, Justin (Kaitlyn) Craig and Michael (Anthony Loschiavo) Craig; two great-grandsons, Jacob (Charlee) Craig and Joshua Craig; and one great-great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Craig.

He was preceded in death by a son, Randall L. Craig; two grandchildren, Jeff and Traci Craig; and five sisters, Letha Meadows, Dolly Miles, Edna Halligan, Betty Hixon Morley and Carrie Lee Craig.

Honoring his wishes, there will be no public visitation. Interment, with Masonic Services and Military Honors, will be in the Shinnston Masonic Cemetery at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion.
