Donald A. Jeram
Donald A. Jeram, 69, of North Strabane Township, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, in PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Pittsburgh.
He was born October 6, 1953, in Burgettstown, a son of the late Albert and Gladys Jane Williamson Jeram.
He was graduate of Burgettstown High School Class of 1971 and then earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Penn State University in 1975.
He was a black belt in Karate, which he earned in 1978.
Mr. Jeram enjoyed hunting, carpentry, gardening and was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He was a loving and caring man who spent all of his life working as a dedicated tradesman.
Gunton Corporation, a window and door company, employed him as a service technician doing warrantee and non-warrantee service work on Pella Windows. Prior to working at Gunton, he, along with his wife, Letitia, owned and operated D. A. Jeram Andersen Window Service.
On November 6, 1993, in McDonald, he married Letitia M. Shavinsky, who survives.
Surviving are a son, Matthew (Kate Hartbauer) Jeram of North Strabane Township, and a stepson, Michael (Tierney) Zitelli of Bentleyville; two grand- daughters, Gianna and Gabriella Zitelli; and one brother, Joseph Jeram of Burgettstown. Also surviving is his life-long friend, Ed Harris of Burgettstown.
The efforts of the nursing staff at PAM Health are greatly appreciated by the family, especially the kindness of nurses Mary and Billie.
Deceased is a sister-in-law, Beth Newman Jeram.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, in the Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 194 E. College Street, Canonsburg, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, with Pastor Peggy Shannon officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in McKeesport (Portview).
