Jack Mahramas
Jack Mahramas, 82, of Carnegie, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
He was born November 8, 1940, in Canonsburg, to James and Anna Florian Mahramas.
On September 21, 1974, he married the love of his life, Nancy Riggs, in Pittsburgh.
Jack was a member of the popular vocal harmony group, The Four Coins, who had several successful records in the 1950’s and 60’s and toured 48 weeks a year for almost two decades. They performed in the world’s top clubs in Las Vegas, the Copacabana and Latin Quarter in New York, the Palladium in London, The Fountain Blue Hotel in Miami, and clubs in Atlantic City. The group also made appearances on popular television shows including: The Ed Sullivan Show, The Mike Douglas Show and multiple appearances on Dick Clark’s American Bandstand.
Jack was a humble and kind man, and exuded a coolness that always made him approachable. Jack was extremely patient and was always there to listen or offer words of wisdom. Known affectionately as “Moo” or “Spleen,” Jack had a piercing sense of humor that will forever endure.
Jack was a proud husband, father, Pappou and brother.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; sons, Nicholas (Jaime) and Ryan; grandsons, Ethan, Elijah and Jonas; siblings, George Mahramas, Sylvia Mahramas and Donald Mahramas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Mahramas, his brother, Michael Mahramas; and his sister, Katherine Mahramas Painter.
As per Jack’s request, no funeral service will be held.
