Alfred E. Motzer
Alfred E. “Fritz” Motzer, 91, of Bethel Park, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
He was the beloved husband for 69 years of Grace Emick Motzer; loving father of Stephen (Jill), Jeffrey and Rebecca Kuklish (Jim); and son of the late John and Pauline Motzer.
Fritz was preceded in death by his siblings, Herman (AnnaBelle) Motzer, Pauline (Jerry) Metts, William (Virginia) Motzer, Ellen Sharp (Joseph) and Eleanore (Joseph) Wesoloski.
Surviving are his grandchildren, Jennifer Migyanko (Jake), Joshua Motzer (Lori), Mary Hoberg (Dan) and Emily Mulvihill (Tim); and great-grandchildren, Evan, Ian, Emma, Noah, Ella, Luke, Ada Grace and Emmett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Fritz was a member of Ruthfred Lutheran Church for 63 years. He was a life member of Ironworkers Union Local #3, Forest Grange #853, a lifetime member of Bethel Park Gold Card Club, Forest County and Bethel Park Historical Society.
Dad was a farmer at heart and enjoyed nothing more than being at his beloved farm in Tionesta gardening, hiking, hunting and riding his tractor. But, at the end of the day, he loved nothing more than sitting around the bonfire with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren while they made him s’mores.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 5, in the David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (Route 88), Library. Visitation continues from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Monday, March 6, in Ruthfred Lutheran Church, 3401 South Park Road, Bethel Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church or a charity of one’s choice.
