Tom Edward Dykins
Tom Edward Dykins, 92, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, peacefully, in his Ellsworth home, where he lived for the past 36 years of his eventful, fulfilling life as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Born December 4, 1930, in Warren, he was a son of the late Roe Dykins and Alyce Jones Manthies.
On April 18, 1953, in Las Vegas, he married his beloved wife, Wanda Dykins, who passed away October 27, 2021.
Tom spent his life working in the glass industries all across the country; in California, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and eventually returning and resettling in Pennsylvania. After retirement he, as per his nature, continued to work for Asplundh Tree service and then the Foxwood Golf course, always keeping himself busy, always providing.
He is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: sons, Thomas (Jody) Dykins of Daisytown, Jerry Dykins (Mary) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Casey (Becky) Dykins of Daisytown; daughters, Alyce Moore of Coventry, R.I., and LaWanda (Reid) Yannacci of Bentleyville; grandchildren, Jennifer (Frank) Corbin, Eric Eccleston, Jessica (Glenn) Robinson, Tyler Dykins (Stacy), Hilary Dykins, Heather (Bob) Crawford, Courtney (Rick) Gambino, Casey (Shaye) Dykins, Darren (Brandi) Yannacci, Cassie (Sean) Zyra and Derek (Sierra) Dykins; and his great-grandchildren, David Cabral, Dominic Martini, Joey Dykins, Viviana, Rick and Verra Gambino, Dorian Reid Yannacci, Blake and Colt Zyra, Addison and Hayden Dykins, Glenn and Nicholas Robinson, Dukane and Dallas Dykins, Nolan, Rainbow, Calla and Ember Dykins.
There will be no public visitation.
