Elizabeth Roberta Shimrock, 95, of Marianna, died Tuesday, February 28, 2023, in Donnell House, Washington. She was born December 8, 1927, in Marianna, a daughter of the late John and Antoinette Molish Golsky.

She was a graduate of West Bethlehem High Schol.

Elizabeth worked as a secretary for Bethlehem Mines.

She was a lifelong member of the former Sts Mary & Ann Catholic Church St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Marianna, now St. Katherine Drexel Parish.

In 1949, she married Thomas Shimrock, with whom she shared over 30 years of marriage before his passing.

She is survived by son, Thomas J. (Dana) Shimrock of Grantsville, Md.; and daughter, Christine H. Shimrock of Morgantown, W.Va.; grandson, Jesse (Liz) Shimrock of Deep Creek, Md.

Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are siblings, John Golsky, Walter Golsky, Helen Juracko, Mary Rozak, Esther Kozloff and Anne Dutko.

At the request of the deceased, services were held privately and arranged by Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington.
