Donald Wray Casto
Donald Wray Casto, 88, of Washington, died Monday, March 13, 2023, in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born February 21, 1935, in Washington, a son of the late William Ealy and Nellie Adele Casto.
A 1953 graduate of Trinity High School, Donald worked in sales for ATT for 32 years, and Benson Lincoln-Mercury for seven years, and as a tax preparer for H&R Block for 21 years.
He attended Friendship Community Church and was a member of Masonic Lodge 164.
Donald enjoyed collecting coins and stamps, woodworking, fishing, and family genealogy.
On August 26, 1953, Donald married Nancy Herschell, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Mark Casto; a daughter, Cindy (Darrell) Cummings; a brother, Ronald Chipps; a sister, Lorna (Don) Porter; six grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Nicholls.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Child Evangelism Outreach Inc., 1654 Park Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, March 16, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, a service will follow at 12 p.m., with Donald Herschell officiating.
