Annette M. Swartzfeger
Annette M. Swartzfeger, 81, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023, in her home, with her family by her side. She was born November 8, 1941, to Frank and Anne Dziak of Cokeburg.
She attended Mount Assisi Academy and Mount Mercy College in Pittsburgh.
On July 20, 1968, she married the love of her life, J.D. Swartzfeger.
She worked at Western State School and Hospital (Western Center) until its closure in 2000, caring for the patients as she did her own family.
Left to cherish sweet memories are her husband of 55 years, J.D.; sisters, Julianna and Mary Sue of Washington; her daughter, Michelle (Daniel) Rumbaugh of McDonald; and son, Jay (Bethanie) of Cottonwood, Ariz.; her three beloved grandchildren, Mickey Slaven of McDonald, Alex Rumbaugh of Burgettstown and Zeke Rumbaugh; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Fran.
Per Annette’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
