Tami Ann Esken Henderson

Tami Ann Esken Henderson passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in her home in Conroe, Texas, surrounded by her family after a three-year-long battle with ALS.
Tami was born February 19, 1961, in Pittsburgh and was raised by her loving parents, George Esken and Dorothy Marie Crivella Esken, alongside two loving sisters, Sondra and Georgia and brother, Dennnis. Sadly, she lost her father at the age of 7.
She graduated from Bishop Boyle High School in Munhall and graduated with an Associate’s degree in both Business and Secretarial Sciences from Robert Morris University.
She married her husband, Jody Henderson (a 1978 Trinity High School graduate) September 17, 1988, in Mt. Lebanon. She had her first child, Zachary, April 19, 1989, in Mayfiend Heights, Ohio. She moved with her husband and son to Houston, Texas in 1993. During her time in Houston, she worked many years for McKinsey & Co. as a senior executive assistant. She also had a daughter, Sydney, March 18, 1998.
During her life, Tami enjoyed vacationing and going to the beach. She was a caring wife and mother, who always put family, friends and work colleagues ahead of herself. She had a benevolent, kind and passionate spirit, always on the go, and making sure everyone and everything was always taken care of.
She was preceded in death by her father, George (1968) and mother, Dorothy (2000).
She is survived by her husband, Jody, of Conroe; daughter, Sydney, also of Conroe; and son, Dr. Zachary Henderson and his fiancee, Manara Jalil of New York, N.Y. She is also survived by her sister, Sondra Esken Peretin and brother-in-law, John Peretin of Munhall; and nephew, Jarett Peretin of Mount Oliver; sister, Georgia Esken Moore and brother-in-law, Danny Moore of West Homestead; and nieces, Julie Moore DiMarco of West Mifflin and Erin Moore Kuney of Munhall; and brother, Dennis Esken and sister-in-law, Judy Coyne Esken of Venice, Fla.
Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 12, in the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120 (412-461-6394), where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13.
