Robert DeFilippo
Robert “Bob” DeFilippo, 68, of Canonsburg, died on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
He was born on March 25, 1955, in Canonsburg, a son of Emelio “Mel” and Delphina DiFranco DeFilippo.
Bob was a member of Saint Oscar Romaro Parish, and attended Saint Patrick Church, in Canonsburg.
He graduated from Canon McMillan in 1973, and furthered his education, graduating from Washington and Jefferson College, in 1977.
Prior to his retirement, Bob owned and operated Canonsburg Upholstering Company.
He enjoyed golfing, was a sports fan and enjoyed playing ice hockey when he was younger.
Robert is survived by his mother, Delphina DeFilippo, of Canonsburg; sister, Nina (William) Ward, of Washington; niece, Jodi (Vincent) Borello, of Washington; nephews, Jarrod (Tomoko) Ward, of Shanghai, China, and Jacob (Julie) Ward, of Washington; great-niece and nephews, Emilio, Antonio and Nico Borello, Leia, Jonah, Anson and Owen Ward; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emelio “Mel” DeFilippo.
There will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian burial, will be held in Saint Patrick Church, Canonsburg, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
