Kevin Patterson, Sr.
Kevin “Earl” Patterson, Sr., 54, of Washington, lost his battle to cancer on Thursday, May 18, 2023, in his home, surrounded by loving family.
He was born on September 27, 1968, in Washington, the son of Diana L. Patterson, and the late Homer B. Patterson.
Kevin was a 1987 graduate of Washington High School.
Mr. Patterson worked as a cook at the Washington Elks Lodge.
An avid sports fan, Kevin loved watching all sports on television, especially golf, and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He coached basketball, softball and baseball for the teams his children played for.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his children and granddaughter.
Kevin met the love of his life, Kimberly Jo Cox, in 1989. They were married on December 30, 2005.
Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife are a daughter, Kayla (Taylen) Gorby; a son, Kevin Patterson Jr.; three brothers, Terry (Brenda) Levers, Tim (Linda) Levers and Brian (Michelle) Patterson; a sister, Amy (Grant) Molinaro, his granddaughter, and light of his life, Taelyn Gorby; his mother-in-law, Fran Cox; an aunt, Diana Cochran; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased is a brother William “Bill” Levers.
Friends and family are welcome to join a memorial gathering from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Washington Elks Lodge, 138 East Maiden Street, Washington. A service will immediately follow the gathering at 11 a.m.
