Janet Pappas
Janet Pappas, 81, of Canonsburg, died peacefully Thursday, May 18, 2023.
She was born August 26, 1941, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Joe and Margaret Larcinese Natale.
Mrs. Pappas was Catholic.
She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She was very patriotic and supportive of her family members’ service to our country.
Janet loved playing bingo, and enjoyed game shows and cooking shows.
On January 25, 1967, she married her husband, Frank “Frunjo” Pappas, with whom she shared over 56 years of marriage before his death, May 14, 2023.
Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Monaghan of Canonsburg; her sons, Niko Pappas of Canonsburg, Jason (Michelle) Pappas of Virginia Beach, Va.; sister, Joyce Matthews of Canonsburg; grandchildren, Chelsea (Dakota) Grizzle, Brooke Dixon; great-grandchildren, Blakely, Natalie; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Janet was preceded in death by her brother, John Natale; her sister, Luci Britko; sister-in-law, Renee Natale; brothers-in-law, Ed Britko and Phil Matthews.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Friday May 26, in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.
Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
