Karen Lee Butler

Karen Lee Butler, 79, of Tulsa, Okla., passed away Monday, November 6, 2023. She was born January 4, 1944, in Washington, to the late Carl Monnich and Mary Agnes Kunselman.

Karen was a loving wife, mother of five, grandmother of seven, and great-grandmother of two. She always gave generously with her time to her family, her home, and the church.

Karen is survived by her husband, Lyndol Butler; her daughters, Robin Boswell, Beth Henry, and Alissa Cornelius; and her son, John Butler.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Monnich; her mother, Mary Agnes Kunselman; her brother, Bill Monnich; her sister, Mary Beth Monnich; and her daughter, Jodi Anderson.

Karen was an excellent seamstress, and often sewed clothing and other items for herself and members of her family. She took pride in her home, both inside and out, and took great care of her landscaping and flower gardens. She also single-handedly completed many home improvement projects, teaching herself new skills with each one.

Karen was an active member of the churches in San Diego, Calif.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Kansas City, Mo.; Iowa City, Iowa; Plano, Texas; and Tulsa, Okla.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 11, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Please address flowers to the Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service and Crematory located in Bixby, Okla.
