Kilbourne Phillip Hancher
Kilbourne Phillip “Kip” Hancher, 59, of Townsend, Ga., originally from Washington, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Southeast Georgia Health Systems, Brunswick, Ga.
He was born January 11, 1964, in Washington, a son of the late Kilbourne O. Hancher Jr. and Marjorie Riggs Hancher.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jamie Toth Hancher; two daughters, Nicole Hancher (Joshua Riddle) and Jessica Hancher, all currently residing in Southern Ga. Kip was also blessed with two beautiful daughters from his first marriage, who further blessed him with four grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, Rodney (Diane) Hancher; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Hancher Ward; and brother, Leonard Hancher.
Kip attended Washington High School, served in the United States Marine Corps for seven and a half years as a Radio Operator and Instructor. He retired as a Corrections Officer from SCI Greene, located in Waynesburg.
He was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and especially enjoyed coaching his younger daughters during their time with the Twist Softball League.
Family and friends are welcome to attend his service at Venice Presbyterian Church located at 3694 Millers Run Road, McDonald, at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
