Donald John Roessler

Donald John “Bug” Roessler, 61, of Chartiers Township, died Saturday, September 30, 2023, in Washington Hospital.

He was born September 26, 1962, in Washington, a son of Edward William and Betty Washabaugh Roessler.

Mr. Roessler was a 1980 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School.

He had worked as a mechanic and a farmer and loved working on his tractors and riding his Harley Trike.

Donald was a member of the Palanka Sportsman’s Club in Houston and the Washington County HOG Chapter.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Demo.

Also surviving are a sister, Linda Smiley (Peete) of Florence, S.C.; two nieces, Lindsay Gregg and Kayla Demo; two nephews, Eric Crawford and Edward Crawford Jr.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A brother, Jay E. Roessler, is deceased.

Friends will received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 5. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
