Edna Lee Miller

Edna Lee Miller, 96, of Washington, died Monday October 2, 2023, in Transitions Healthcare.

She was born March 15, 1927, in Washington, a daughter of the late Jenkin Ellis and Virgie Mae Clemens Greer.

Edna graduated from Washington High School and was a sales clerk at Sears for 32 years.

She was a member of West Washington United Methodist Church. She served as treasurer for the United Methodist Women.

In her free time, she loved attending her church.

On October 2, 1948, Edna married the late Carl. T Miller, who died May 24, 1988.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen S. Brezinski of Washington, and Kathy L. Babeji (John) of Washington; a sister, Grace Friend of Washington; three grandchildren, Lori Brooks (Rodney), Erin Jeffries (James), and Jason Babeji (Deah).

Edna was a devoted great-grandmother to her four great- grandchildren, Jack Brooks, Maggie Brooks, Hunter Babeji, and Kendall Jeffries. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Paulette Meekins.

Deceased are her two brothers, Jenkin Ellis and Ernest Ellis; two sisters, Clara Pettitt and Gladys Briggs; and a son-in-law, Charles J. Brezinski.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 5, in the Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, Douglas M. Jones, supervisor, Dr. Lawrence K. Douglas, director, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 6. Interment will be at Washington Cemetery.
