Mario J. Fatigati
Mario J. Fatigati, 96, of Cecil, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 3, 2023, in Friendship Village, his home for the past 8 years.
He was born December 9, 1926, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Sabatino and Yolanda Corti Fatigati.
Mr. Fatigati was a student at South Fayette High School and St. Vincents Prep School.
After graduation, Mario had been employed at the former Universal Cyclopes Corporation. He then joined his family in its well-known bar and grill, The White Front Restaurant in South Fayette Township. He worked with his parents and brothers for 50 years before closing the restaurant in 1995. Fatigati’s was well known for the large portions, double steaks, and delicious salads.
Mario was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Corpus Christi Parish in Cecil. An avid golfer, he enjoyed boating and playing cards.
On June 20, 1952, he married Gloria J. Fratoni, who passed away February 11, 2012, after 58 years of marriage.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Ava Marie Clements (the late James) of Huntersville, N.C., Mario Jay Fatigati and wife Carole of McMurray, and Brian Fatigati of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Matthew (Carla) Clements, Jeremy (Sarah) Clements, Amelia Fatigati (Robert Di Maggio), Nina Fatigati (Chris Pray), Cara Fatigati (Antonio Mendoza), Isabella and Gabriella Fatigati; and several nieces and nephews.
Mario was the last of his immediate family. Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents, are his dear grandson, Michael Clements, who passed away April 1, 2012; and his two brothers, Ivo and William Fatigati.
