William E. Wright
William E. Wright, 90, of Waynesburg, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, while at the Evergreen facility in Washington.
William was the second of seven children born to the late Bernice and Clovis Wright on February 26, 1933. A graduate of Waynesburg High school class of 1951, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served in Korea during the Korean War. Most of William’s career was spent as an armour vehicle maintenance sergeant in Johnstown, PA.
He is survived by his four siblings, Sheila Black (William) of Avella, P.J. Wright (Carol) of Bethel Park, Kathy Perez of Austin, Tex., and Susie Nassis (Bill) of Waynesville, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Richard and Gerald Wright.
He will be interred in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
