James C. Pryor, 88, of Houston, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 7, 2023, in his home.

Mr. Pryor was born May 11, 1935, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frederick and Martha Bannister Pryor.

James had worked for many years at the Federal Reserve Bank in Pittsburgh.

He enjoyed building, remodeling and carpentry, as well as playing golf, pool and all Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers.

On November 13, 1954, he married Donna Taylor, his wife of nearly 69 years, who survives.

Also surviving are three children, James Pryor (Trina) of Greensburg, Debbie Whitlock (Rev. Lance) of Washington and Lydia Taylor of Houston; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Two grandchildren, a brother and two sisters are deceased.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no services.
