Eva Jane Lilley Ferree
Eva “Eve” Jane Lilley Ferree of Carmichaels, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, after a lengthy illness.
Eve was born in Crucible, to Isaac Allen Lilley, Jr. and Jean Josephine Flemming on October 28, 1959.
She married George Reed Ferree, III, on March 22, 1982, in Norfolk, Va.
Eve is survived by her husband of 41 years, George Reed Ferree III; her three children, Jason Ferree (Rose) of Carmichaels, Stephanie Cole (Jeffrey) of Clarksville and George Reed Ferree IV (Monica) of Houston; five grandchildren: Reed Cole, Kaitlynn Cole, Aaryianna Ferree, Mackelinn (Mac) Fiorino and Braxxton Ferree; two sisters, Mary Jean Jay and Charlotte Jones (Lee) of Crucible; four brothers, Joseph Lilley of Waynesburg, John Lilley (Vicki) of Dry Tavern, Issac Lilley of Carmichaels and William Lilley of Crucible; two sisters-in-law, Carol Becilla (Mark) of Morgantown, W.Va. and Kathryn Price (Brian) of Rices Landing; and several nieces and nephews.
Eve loved playing games on Facebook, the color purple, elephants, 70s music, coloring, baking, reading, drinking coffee and bird watching. She loved talking on the phone and spending time with her family. She loved her kids, but she loved her grandkids the most, and looked forward to when they visited her. Bubba, her dog, she spoiled just like she would any of her own children or grandchildren.
Eve was a kind and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandma, daughter-in-law and friend. She could easily make others laugh or brighten up your day, and she will be missed immensely by those who knew her best.
The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude for the compassionate care provided by the nursing staff of Amedisys Home Health Care, Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehab, Select Specialty in Latrobe and Washington Critical Care Unit.
There will be a Memorial Service for family and friends, TBA in the care of Paul Lesako Funeral Home.
