Nancy L. Day

Nancy L. Day, 86, of Washington, died Sunday, October 15, 2023, in Premier Washington Health Center.

She was born October 19, 1936, in Washington, a daughter of the late Howard T. Harvey Senior and Freda M. Pettit Harvey.

Nancy was a member of Fourth Presbyterian Church of Washington.

She was a 1954 graduate of Trinity High School.

Nancy worked as a Unit Secretary at Washington Hospital for many years until her retirement in 1996.

Surviving are three sons, Richard H. (Tanya) Clark of Hiram, Ga., Mark R. (Deneen) Clark of Washington, and Scott A. (Jamie) Clark of Washington; two daughters, Vicki L. (Robert) Boswell of Washington, and Kimberly D. Ashmore of Wheeling, W.Va.; four brothers, Howard T. “Sam” Harvey, Jr. of Jefferson, Richard G. “Gary” (Valerie) Harvey of Washington, Robert C. (Carole) Harvey of Chapin, S.C., and David L. (Janice) Harvey of Cranberry; three sisters, Linda L. Comfort of Washington, Sharon D. (Barry) Beddow of Fla., and Sheila S. (Jim) Blake of Reading; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two sisters, Mary Jane Hayes Bellino and Margaret “Peg” Cupler.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, in the Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Ave., Washington, PA, Douglas M. Jones, supervisor, Dr. Lawrence K. Donovan, director, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hummellandjonescom.
