Robert Teagarden
Robert W. Teagarden Jr., 72, of Crucible, died Tuesday, October 17, 2023, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., surrounded by his family.
He was born March 15, 1951, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Robert W. and Margaret Murphy Teagarden Sr.
Bob was a graduate of Carmichaels High School Class of 1971.
He worked as a coal miner at the Marianna Mine and Cumberland Mine.
Bob was a member of St. Matthias Parish, St. Hugh Worship site, the Rices Landing Sportsman Club, United Mine Workers of America Local#2300, a former firefighter for the Rices Landing and Crucible Volunteer Fire Companies and a life member of the North American Hunting Club.
He had formerly lived in Cleveland, Ohio and Rices Landing.
On September 4, 1975, he married Susan Gittinger, who survives.
Also surviving are three children: Chris (Sara Myers) Teagarden of Uniontown, Bobby Teagarden III of Crucible and Robin Johann of Milaca, Minn.; seven grandchildren: Sarah, Ambrose, Logan, Jessica, Samantha, Jesse and Sabrina; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Denny (Jan) Teagarden of Carmichaels; a special cousin, Eugene (Jane) Teagarden of Carmichaels; and several cousins.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023, in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, in St. Hugh Worship site of St. Matthias Parish, 408 S. Eighty-eight Road, Carmichaels, PA 15320, with Father James Farnan officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
