Audrey Louise Duesenberry
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of matriarch, Audrey Louise Duesenberry on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
Born to Oscar and Texie Bucklen on May 22, 1931, Audrey was the oldest of four siblings and the only daughter.
She was married to her husband, Paul Hugh Benson Duesenberry, for 46 years before he passed away in 1996.
Audrey spent the last few years enjoying the sunshine in Florida whenever possible.
She blessed the world with nine children in total, eight whom survive: Paulette (late Ray) Riffle, Betty (Wilburt) Hanshaw, Bonnie Duesenberry, Darlene (Lee) Donaldson, Debbie Cook, Patty (late Wayne) Shelton, Don (Bonnie) Duesenberry and caregiver, Christine (John) Duesenberry.
Surviving are her brothers: Elmer (Louise), Roscoe (Patty) and Robert (Charlotte). Audrey also leaves behind a legacy of three generations of grandchildren and an amazing number of nieces and nephews.
Though many hearts are broken by her passing, peace can be found knowing Audrey is now reunited with her late parents, husband and a son, Roger Duesenberry.
A memorial service and luncheon will be held at Slovan VFW from 12 to 3 p.m. on October 29, 2023. A burial service will follow at Candor Cemetery at 4 p.m.
