Henry Martin Griffith
Henry “Tike” Martin Griffith, 83, of Monongahela, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023.
He was a loving father, a family man who loved life!
Henry is survived by his wife, Johanna Kokoska; his children, Cecilia M. Griffith, Christine E. Benner and Mark F. Griffith; as well as his granddaughters, Sarah and Rachel Benner; and grandson, Gavin Griffith.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary E. Griffith; and his oldest son, Marty Griffith.
Henry graduated from Union High School and went on to work as an electrician at Washington Hospital until his retirement. He also worked at J/L Steel and Union Electric, and he always enjoyed doing home improvements. He was a 32 Degree Mason.
In his free time, Henry collected friends and tractors wherever he went. He had a knack for fixing anything and even invented a lot of things. He had a passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers and loved to dance and play cards. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing with his family and enjoying a bonfire.
A private ceremony will be held for Henry Griffith.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Arborist Society.
We remember Henry “Tike” Martin Griffith as a loving father, dedicated electrician and a man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
