Rosemary Ann Vulcano
Rosemary Ann Vulcano, 77, of McMurray, passed away peacefully, Tuesday morning, September 5, 2023.
She was born February 15, 1946, in Houston, a daughter of the late Patsy F. and Filomena Vulcano Sr.
Rosemary was in the first graduating class of St. Patrick School and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1963. She then graduated from Penn Commercial Business School in Washington.
Her first employment after business school was with the Houston Foundry. In 1965, she had been employed with Pennsylvania Transformer, McGraw Edison Power Systems and finally Cooper Industries until its closing. To finish off her career Rosemary was employed in Human Resources with Weavertown Environmental Group for 22 years.
A devout Catholic, Rosmary remained a faithful member of St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church, in Canonsburg.
A dedicated volunteer, she gave her time to the Meals on Wheels Program, the Washington City Mission, the St. Vincent De Paul Society, the Bread and Blanket Programs and the Lentin Fish Fry, at St Patrick Church.
Rosemary was a very special lady with a great sense of humor. Her endearing personality made everyone love her.
Left behind to cherish her memory are many beloved nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Rosemary was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her sister, Theresa Zubert; and her five brothers: Rocco Vulcano, Joseph Vulcano, Patsy F. Vulcano Jr., Frank L. Vulcano and Jack Vulcano.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Jospeh P. Salandra LFD, owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:35 a.m. Saturday September 9, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. with Reverend Thomas Gillespi, pastor as celebrant, in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church St. Oscar Romero Parish, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
