James Earl Moore
James Earl Moore, 69, of Rices Landing, sadly left us Monday, September 11, 2023, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born June 4, 1954, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Albert Moore and Dolores Rice Palone.
On September 7, 1974, Jim married Brenda Miller Moore, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Carrie Jo Whetsell (Chad) of Pittsburgh, and Tami Gregg (Dan) of Rices Landing; his stepfather, Eugene Palone of Rices Landing; and one grandson, Austin Frameli of Pittsburgh.
Jim was a retired coal miner from Gateway Mine and a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who valued family first. He enjoyed football, fishing, and spending time with close friends.
He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
