Poles, utility lines unsightly
A couple of months ago, the newspaper ran an editorial praising the appearance of the campus at Washington & Jefferson College, with all the nice spring flowers and manicured lawns.
In the meantime, sidewalks on Lincoln and College streets were torn up and are being replaced. Just think how nice the campus would look if some thought had been given to eliminating the unsightly poles and placing the utility lines underground. With the ugly poles and wires gone, and some new “old-fashioned” lampposts installed, the college would have looked great indeed.
