Outraged by parking authority

1 min read

On Aug. 14, I parked in a lot across from Canonsburg’s borough building. I loaded the maximum two hours worth of quarters into the meter before going to a doctor’s appointment.

It is outrageous that I left the doctor’s office to find one of those yellow envelopes on my windshield for being 10 minutes overtime. Ten minutes cost me $10 that I had to pay immediately or I would face an even higher charge.

Does the parking authority expect patients to leave in the middle of a doctor’s exam to check the meter? This is an outrageous practice to allow two hours on a meter at the doctor’s office, so that they can zero in and nab you for $10 without an ounce of consideration.
