Regarding your July 9 editorial, “An unnecessary battle,” thank you. People who live in Canon-McMillan School District think that we get some of the money The Meadows Racetrack & Casino generously gives to North Strabane Township and Washington County. We get nothing. The credit and new assessment is a very large cut in our budget. We are working hard to manage that. We are waiting patiently for reassessment. Assessment values from 1981? Really?
