I commend George Block and his June 23 article on the Hunting Hills Hawkeyes, Greene County’s Scholastic Clay Target Program.

When it comes to kids and guns, all you hear is bad news. It was great to see a positive spin on it. I am a proud parent of a team member. My son joined the team in January, and he shot until June. I got a call from Chuck Mallory, the head coach, to take my son to Hunting Hills to learn firearm safety. These coaches are awesome, and spend a lot of their time helping kids. My son has come a long way because of them.
