New Sarris price unfair
I couldn’t agree more with David Franz of Prosperity, whose letter regarding the new price of a Sarris candy bar appeared in the May 27 edition of the Observer-Reporter.
The cost of the candy bar has doubled, yet the size of the bar went from 1.75 to 2 ounces. That hardly seems fair. I understand that price increases are a way of life over time, but this jump to double the cost is really unfair. The $1 price is really what made the candy bars so easy to sell. Sarris would have done better by shrinking the size of the candy bar and keeping the $1 price.
As far as fundraisers go, on a positive note, I did check at local grocery stores and they are selling the new bar for $2.99, so we will still be getting a better deal.
