Enterprise shouldn’t be criticized
With all the scandals emanating from the Obama administration, why did Bracken Burns write such an insulting letter, which appeared in the May 30 edition of the Observer-Reporter, bashing private individuals who explained how government policy has a negative effect on their business?
When I read his letter, my blood boiled. I will quote a phrase I learned many years ago. I don’t know who to credit it to, but it goes like this: “I despise the guys who criticize and minimize the enterprise of the guys whose enterprise makes them rise above the guys who criticize.”
More positive things can be learned from a person who developed multiple Five Guys Burgers and Fries franchises than can be learned from a liberal rant. Always remember this: If you’re not promoting individual freedom and liberty, then, bit by bit, you’re promoting tyranny. I learned that in civics class.
