Why take away Canonsburg steps?

I have a question for Canonsburg Borough Council: Why are you taking away the steps on Adams Avenue?

People who live on the hill use them. Now, you have to walk around Sarris Candies or go the other way down Euclid Avenue. The steps have been there a long time as I understand it. Just because no one on council uses them doesn’t mean no one does. It’s a shortcut for people on the hill. Give us back our steps.
