Paid local tax twice

After reading Joseph Thomas’ letter concerning the per capita tax for 2012 in Washington School District, I researched and discovered he is correct in saying that then-collection service, CENTAX, billed for this tax in that year and that I also paid it. Now I have dutifully paid it again to the new service, Keystone Collections Group. It appears the school district’s right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. I’m hopeful that I either get a refund or be issued a credit for next year. But I’m certainly not holding my breath.
