No more political correctness

2 min read

We are all created equal but that’s where it ends. Our lives are shaped by our family, friends, government, religions and yes, even the press. In the shaping of who we are to become this equality dissolves. We all become unique. Some become priests and some become murderers. Some become hunters and some become gatherers. Some become workers while others would prefer to sit back and let the government provide for them and complain how disenfranchised they are.

How do we break this cycle of negativity? I think we can start by throwing away the notion of political correctness. We all are not equal in the end. Ben Carson, a surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital, hit the nail on the head when he discussed this at a prayer breakfast recently. Political correctness must go.

It’s time we recognized and acknowledge that all religions are not the same. Some promote love while others promote hate. Some religions promote peace while others encourage war. Likewise, not all governments and their leaders are the same. Some in government encourage self-reliance while others would prefer more of its citizens become dependent on government. I believe in self-reliance and am afraid our current leaders in Washington have got us headed in the opposite direction. This has me greatly concerned for the future of our great nation.

We need to stop spending what we cannot afford. Taxing more of the productive members in our society will assure that we will have less contributors and more takers. This will only aggravate the situation. It must be reversed and we need to send this message to Washington, D.C.
