A mistake or deception?

Sen. Bob Casey is quoted in the Congressional Record on July 24, 2009: “I also believe this legislation and the bill we are going to send to President Obama this fall will also secure choices. If you like what you have, if you like the plan you have, you can keep it. It is not going to change.”

Whether he made a mistake or was attempting to deceive us, shouldn’t we expect more from our politicians?
