Too many “sorry”’s
Recently, I called to question a charge on my credit card. When the operator sought to verify my birthdate, she informed me my answer to that question was wrong. Five minutes later, I was able to verify I was the holder of the credit card by answering a series of questions. What would have happened if I had been unable to verify my ownership of the card?
Following this event, I applied for an E-Z Pass. Guess what? The pass or transponder was sent to the wrong address. The name was correct but the address was wrong. I called the E-Z Pass office in Harrisburg to correct the address. I was told they were sorry.
We wonder why the United States is falling behind other countries. Perhaps the answer is too many, “I am so sorry” scenarios.
