NFL players should respect country, flag
If you travel the world, you will see our flag and country disrespected in nations all over the globe. If my military service taught me anything, it was to have an undying respect for this country and our flag. Our flag represents to me all that we are and all that we hope to be.
So, as a veteran, it disgusts me when I see at every NFL football game, during the playing of our National Anthem, players on the sidelines laughing, talking and the total disrespectful practice of wearing those black skull caps.
These are grown men playing a kids’ game and being paid more in one year than the average American makes in a lifetime. You would think the very least they could do is uncover their highly paid heads.
