Valuable voice for Greene Co.
We can think of no one more qualified to ascend up the leadership ladder of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors than Shirl Barnhart, chairman of the Morgan Township supervisors in Greene County.
Barnhart previously served as the association’s second vice president, secretary-treasurer and assistant secretary-treasurer, and was elected to PSATS’ executive committee in 2002.
Greene County is fortunate to have a representative serving as an officer of an association representing Pennsylvania’s 1,454 townships of the second class. The organization is committed to preserving and strengthening township government and securing greater visibility and involvement for townships on the state and federal levels.
Considering Barnhart’s involvement in other areas, such as serving as chairman of the Jefferson-Morgan Council of Governments, being a member of the Izaak Walton League and formerly serving as chairman of the Greene County Planning Commission, having his voice in the state association will be most valuable to Greene County.
