Help the homeless

1 min read

Having just pulled into my driveway, I sit in my car late at night doing paperwork for my second job, and I wonder what would it be like if I had nowhere to go except my car.

And what if, in addition to that, I had children to worry about?

That is exactly what could happen to those families who were displaced May 15 from an apartment complex on Jefferson Avenue in Washington. The American Red Cross has assisted them as far as funds allow, but time is running short.

Is there nowhere or no one who can help find these families a place to stay other than tents? If we all pitch in a little, it would add up quickly.

Sometimes we forget how fortunate we are, and how unfortunate others are.
