Rewarding Kasunich, punishing the library

1 min read

Since I live in Canonsburg, some in Washington may feel that I don’t really have a dog in this fight, but I can’t help but find it ludicrous that Trinity Area School District can find $153,000 to rid themselves of Superintendent Paul Kasunich, but they can’t seem to find $25,000, which is one-sixth of that amount, to support Citizens Library.

The last thing an educational institution should be perceived of doing is rewarding ill-conceived choices and penalizing civic responsibility and the general welfare. True, I do not live in Washington, but I believe that we all own a stake in public education and enlightenment.
