Do mock crashes help?

1 min read

This is in response to the article “Mock crash held for Trinity students” in Tuesday’s local section of the Observer-Reporter.

Why do emergency personnel and first responders even have these events? They should just give the money to a funeral home after a student crashes. These students may be listening to you for one day, or even two hours, but the minute they get in their cars, they forget everything they were told.

If one person can write a letter to the editor and tell me that one of these mock crashes made them slow down, stop drinking, stop texting or stop talking on the phone while driving, I would be surprised. Teenagers are teenagers. They think they are invincible, no matter who tells them differently.
