White was right
I have read the recent articles about Range Resources and the problems with their wastewater impoundments, resulting in $4.15 million in fines being levied by Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection.
I have also read the stories about recent problems with the DEP’s inability to properly regulate the gas industry in general and Range Resources in particular. Now that the truth is starting to come out about the connections between Range Resources and the Corbett administration, it’s also clear that one of our state legislators was right about the whole thing from the very beginning.
While most of our elected officials are too busy sucking up to the natural gas industry to realize what is happening, state Rep. Jesse White has been the only one asking the real questions and demanding accountability from the DEP and the natural gas industry. Not only was Jesse White right about the problems with Range’s impoundments, he was exactly right.
It’s easy to see why the natural gas industry, the Corbett administration, and the rest of the good old boys club want White out of office so badly. He’s the only one standing up for the people of Southwestern Pennsylvania, despite the barrage of personal and political attacks he has been forced to endure along the way just for doing what’s right. White is the watchdog we need to keep an eye on the natural gas industry and the DEP. Without Jesse White, there would be nobody looking out for the people.
