It seems like controversy sells newspapers. Peters Township is being portrayed as the bad guy and Meals on Wheels as the good guy after the township did not renew the organization’s lease for space in the township fire department. The lease ends in 2017.

However, it is not being reported that township officials have found three other locations in Peters Township for Meals on Wheels, with lower rent at these locations. They can take with them all their equipment, and even the walk-in freezers, which can be dismantled. They can move at any time or stay until 2017, and still receive $18,000 from Peters Township.

Instead of having an open house for the public at their present facility, why not have it at a new location?
