Say no to a severance tax
Shame on you, Observer-Reporter, for asking for a severance tax in your Dec. 24 editorial.
You didn’t say who would pay for it. In my contract with a drilling company, it says any tax put on a gas well by any government agency will be deducted from the royalty payments.
Also, the impact fee will disappear.
Remember the racetrack revenue that would be used to help pay your school tax?
