The Good Old Boys Club is alive and well in Harrisburg.

The voters in the 46th Senate District have spoken. Tim Solobay was defeated in the November election. However, Gov. Tom Wolf did not hear their voices. He named Solobay state fire commissioner, where he will be earning $116,265 from taxpayers.

I guess the entire commonwealth does not have a qualified fire chief to appoint to this position. Apparently, this former politician was the most qualified. Did Wolf even take the time to search for a candidate, or was this just a case of “You scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours?”
