Say no to use of Narcan

2 min read

Why are we providing Narcan treatment at all to heroin addicts? It’s another monumentally stupid way to waste our money.

Isn’t recreational drug use and its destructive behavior illegal?

If our state and local government find it necessary to give a helping hand, give it to those who deserve it, such as people who play by the rules and obey the laws and help make a better community. Why are we being enablers?

If Narcan saves the life of a person who has legitimately overdosed, please, let’s use it. But to give it to police officers, school officials and firemen so they can help people who have overdosed on heroin, why stop there? It’s only a matter of time before Narcan dispensers show up at malls, restaurants, bowling alleys, beer distributors and highway rest stops.

In America, we have wasted billions of dollars over the last couple of decades on drug education and treatment facilities, and for what? Most addicts are back at it after the treatment program is over. We should make it a ballot isssue – let the taxpayers, whose money is being commandeered, decide if addicts deserve more breaks than taxpaying seniors and retirees, as well as average American workers.

Are addicts really worth wasting my grocery and prescription money on?
