Abortion is murder
It’s becoming all too commonplace. Waking up each morning, grabbing the Observer-Reporter and seeing another progressive/left editorial that frustrates and angers me deeply.
In your June 30 edition, it’s apparently cause for celebration that the U.S. Supreme Court now allows Texans to kill their next of kin without consequence or remorse.
First of all, there is no legal right to an abortion. Roe vs. Wade was argued over medical privacy and did not establish a “right to a legal abortion.” There is absolutely no legal precedent on which the high court could establish a “right” to commit murder, without yanking it out of thin air.
The Texas law served to establish medical standards for equipment and care, but now are gone. The arguments about women having to visit “back alley clinics under grotesque conditions” if abortion is outlawed are hollow.
Have we learned nothing from the Kermit Gosnell case? Gosnell is the Philadelphia doctor who is serving a life term in prison after being convicted of murdering three infants during botched abortions. Abortion is considered “legal,” but this man ran a veritable butcher shop. Nazi physician Josef Mengele, who performed experiments on inmates at the Auschwitz concentration camp, would be proud.
“Legal and safe”? Safe for whom? Certainly not the child being tossed out like trash. And in Gosnell’s case, not the mother, either.
I have to shake my head in utter disbelief. A woman’s right to kill her own children is seen as something to lionize as “good news for women.” There is absolutely no difference between abortion and standing on Main Street, firing a MAC-10 machine pistol at noon on any weekday. Death is death and certainly not to be celebrated.
