Trump will make us whole again
In her June 24 letter to the editor, Kathy Peters mentioned that her grandparents came to this country from Czechoslovakia and said that we shouldn’t build walls to keep people out.
My grandparents came to this country in the early 1900s from Italy. They didn’t climb over any walls in order to commit crimes. They came here legally and raised a family, held jobs, built a home and were honest citizens. I agree 100 percent with building the wall on our southern border that Donald Trump has proposed.
In our grandparents’ day, there weren’t terrorists invading our country to kill innocent people. So I hope Trump wins, builds that wall and makes us all proud to say, “I’m an American.”
I don’t want my children or grandchildren to be killed by an illegal immigrant who shouldn’t be here in the first place. If you want our country to remain as it is today, then vote for Hillary Clinton. If you want a chance for our country to become whole again, vote for Trump. I’ll take my chances with him and hope he can bring our coal and steel industries back.
Remember when Martin Luther King Jr. said “I have a dream”? Maybe we need to have a dream where things will turn around and jobs will become plentiful again, where peace will prevail and illegal immigrants will be deported back to where they came from, where people will be proud to have a job and not live on welfare all their lives.
