Taxed to death
Hooray for Tom Bodnovich and his July 7 letter on Trinity Area School Board and its recent tax increases.
Bodnovich left out the gambling money, which was supposed to reduce property taxes.
With the tax increase in the Trinity district and the property reassessment in Washington County, how will we live and pay for all these tax increases? The taxes will never go away and we will get the shaft. Voters who approved casino gambling should have known that greed would take over.
How can I stretch the $2.20 cost-of-living adjustment I am receiving from Social Security? We should not be burdened with these taxes. If you think about it, we are taxed to death.
